"Rooted in Christ and drawing inspiration from our Founder, our mission is to build, in collaboration with other religious and the laity, communities of true worship and witness." (Provincial Chapter , 2003)

After naming several possible ministries, the chapter pinpointed for us that Pastoral Ministry will be our priority. This was a ministry which was very close to the heart of our founder, something he kept up until the very end of his life.

Though we are just seven years young in the South in beginning to serve in this area, we have already seventeen men ministering through parishes. Many of the parishes entrusted to us needed infrastructure and we are happy to have constructed several brand new church buildings and Parish Halls. Most of our parishes have Holy Cross Family Ministry programs conducted regularly. Many of our pastors have introduced several innovative ideas for Faith Formation, youth involvement and other means of bringing back Catholics who left the Church for more exciting other-denominational services. If there is one area that needs the most attention and that all of them are convinced of is family visitation.

We would still need much assistance and support for completing church buildings in Pune and Mumbai.
